Breast Cancer Awareness Month: A Message from Brow HQ

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we at Brow HQ are wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting this important cause. While we’re renowned for enhancing beauty, our commitment extends to empowering our community with vital knowledge, encouraging open conversations bout woman’s health.

Breast cancer is a pressing concern that affects countless lives. To assist you, we’ve prepared a brief guide on breast health:

How to Check Your Breasts

Regular self-examinations are essential. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Stand in front of a mirror with your shoulders straight.
  2. Raise your arms and inspect for any changes in breast shape or contour.
  3. Check for any dimpling, puckering, or redness of the skin.
  4. Examine your nipples for any discharge, swelling, or inversion.
  5. Next, feel your breasts. Use the pads of your fingers and apply varying levels of pressure.
  6. Begin at the outer edges, working your way around each breast in a circular pattern.
  7. Don’t forget to check the underarm areas too.

Signs and Symptoms of Breast Cancer

While a self-exam can help, it’s essential to be aware of potential warning signs:

  • A lump or thickening in or near the breast or underarm.
  • Change in the size, shape, or appearance of the breast.
  • Unexplained pain in the breast or nipple.
  • Nipple discharge other than breast milk.
  • Skin changes on the breast, such as redness, dimpling, or puckering.

What to Do

If you discover any concerning changes, consult a healthcare professional promptly. Early detection is often the key to successful treatment.
