Contra-indications to Brow Lamination
If you have any of the conditions below in the brow area, please do not laminate your brows until the your skin/hair has fully recovered and is in a healthy state. Laminating brows with any of these conditions could cause damage to the skin or hair.
Contra Indications
- Skin disorders in the area – such as seborrheic dermatitis, eczema or psoriasis
- Infectious skin disorders or diseases
- Cuts or abrasions in the area
- Hypersensitive skin
- Allergies to product – test first
- Bruising – care must be takes if working around a bruise
- Pregnancy or nursing Mothers – they are much more sensitive and at risk of an allergic reaction due to hormones
- Recent laser / strong skin peel treatment
- Recent scar tissue – new scars cannot be worked on due to the delicate nature of the skin
- Sunburn
- Excessive ingrown hairs
- Moles/skin tags – can be worked around
- Use of Retinol creams and certain medications in the area that increase photosensitivity or thin the skin
- Cancer – During chemo and in the recovery period, skin and brows will need extra care, this varies from person to person so proceed with caution
